Avoid single-use products
It takes no less than 20,000 litres of water to produce just 1 kg of conventional cotton! That's enough for a T-shirt and a pair of jeans. So you should do without the cotton that is only used once.
Replacing cotton pads or cotton wool for make-up removal is a good start.
Alternatively, reusable make-up removal pads can be used. Ideally natural materials without microfibre and plastic. Also soft cloths, made of organic cotton can be used to clean the face and replace super wet wipes, which on the one hand waste resources unnecessarily and on the other hand too often end up in the sewerage system and cause damage there.
