Spend less when buying plants
Often it is not necessary to buy new seeds or plants all the time: Collect seeds, learn to take cuttings and share plants to build your own backup garden center. Gaps can then be filled with self-propagated backup plants.
Watch and learn what grows well in your garden to build a healthy plant community. When you choose new plants, see what they need to live in order to benefit from them for as long as possible. You can trade new plant varieties with your own on seed and plant exchanges. In this way you can make an important contribution to the preservation of plant diversity.
